Vanderburgh Humane Society

The Vanderburgh Humane Society, Inc. (VHS), a tax exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1957 to provide protection for homeless animals, intervention for animals in abusive environments, and community education to encourage prevention of animal abuse and pet overpopulation.

Warrick Humane Society

Warrick Humane Society was incorporated in 1983 and opened its No Kill shelter on Vann Road in 1997. Our mission is to end the animal overpopulation crisis in the community, to find homes for homeless and neglected animals and to provide educational programs and community services for the mutual benefit of animals and people.

PC Pound Puppies

In late 2004, two of our founding members began volunteering with the Posey County/Mt. Vernon Animal Control Shelter in an effort to give dogs that come into the shelter a new home and a second chance at life. ALL stray dogs picked up anywhere in Posey County by our two animal control officers are brought to this shelter.

Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County

Clarksville’s first-ever high-quality high-volume low-cost spay-neuter clinic. We are using the Humane Alliance model, which has assisted 80+ groups to successfully open & operate spay-neuter clinics across the country.

PAAWS No-Kill Animal Rescue

Our volunteers foster our rescue animals in their homes. We do not have a building, or shelter. Our volunteers devote time and love to each and every animal. Our volunteers administer medications when needed for sick animals, care for wounded, and rescue the neglected, abused and unwanted animals. We are very passionate about our efforts and hope that you are able to see that on the faces of the animals.

It Takes a Village Canine Rescue

We rescue animals no one else wants and who have no options left – animals that have been abused, abandoned or neglected.  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, mostly volunteer,  NO-KILL, privately run rescue in Evansville, Indiana. We are a grassroots organization who relies on community members for volunteering and donating for the cause.

The Dog Food Advisor is a public service website designed to help you make a more informed decision when buying dog food. Since 2008, my staff and I have researched, reviewed and rated more than 4,563 dog food products. Our current team includes two dedicated research assistants, an experienced social media admin as well as one extraordinarily knowledgeable (and generous) veterinarian.
